Industry Leading ESG rating

This Earth Day, we’re proud to share that Steer has been awarded an “Industry Leading” ESG rating — a progression from our “Excellent” rating in 2023.

As we take this moment to reflect on our environmental and social responsibilities, it's a timely opportunity to recognise the measurable progress we’ve made across our operations in 2024 — achieved through our continued work with Sustainable Advantage and the dedication of our teams across the UK.

This step forward reflects the real, measurable action we’ve taken:

 Industry collaboration — working with sector leaders to introduce ARIES, the Automotive Repair Industry Environmental Standard

 100% renewable electricity — all of our sites now operate using energy from fully renewable sources

 Sustainable repair — stronger integration of green parts, reduced use of new parts, and ambient drying paint to lower energy consumption

 Landfill reduction — biodegradable seat covers, recyclable number plate and uniform schemes, and improved sorting of recyclable materials across our sites

 Community impact — a new Community and Charity Fund to support our people and local causes

 Employee wellbeing and inclusion — colleague surveys, new Benefit Support Hubs, Wagestream access, and the launch of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
