CARBON NEUTRAL
At Steer we are continuously evaluating our repair processes and how their environmental impact can be improved. We’re proud to say we’re carbon neutral and our goal is to achieve a net zero process. With the introduction of more and more green technology.
Carbon Neutral In Accordance With PAS2060
For every business joining the Steer group, we assist in obtaining their PAS2060 accreditation if they have not already done so. In partnership with ECA Business Energy and adhering to international guidelines, we have implemented several key strategies in delivering planned environmental initiatives to achieve an organic 5% carbon emission reduction for carbon.
Sustainability in action
We believe that small changes make a big difference to the environment. Our offices and Meet and Greet teams use an entirely paperless environment. Lighting in our workshops and paint booths is key to a flawless finish, but that shouldn’t cost the environment, which is why we’re upgrading to low energy LEDs.
We’re introducing more and more EV courtesy cars and offering all our customers free EV charging where available. Our fast bake ovens significantly reduce curing times and the energy we consume. These are just a few of the ways we're working towards carbon zero.
Greener Business Practices
Greener Repair Processes
Our bodyshops are busy places with a huge volume of vehicles passing through our doors every week, which is why being green is baked into our processes. There isn’t time to think greener we need to be greener, in every action we take. For example we only stock biodegradable shampoos and polishes. Our workwear is made from recycled plastics. We only have recycling bins and why all our paints are solvent free.
We are pleased to partner with SYNETIQ to offer a Green Parts Alternatives solution for our customers. Green parts are undamaged recycled parts that are carefully harvested from end of life vehicles. When you choose green parts for your car there is no further carbon output in their manufacturing and no landfill arising from their disposal.
