IMI Accreditation
A large proportion of technicians working at Steer have gained IMI Accreditation. It’s the industry standard of professional competence.
What is IMI Accreditation?
The IMI is the Institute of the Motor Industry, a professional association for individuals working in the trade. They accredit training and learning programmes designed to test the competence of technicians working in the retail automotive industry and confirm that they follow an ethical code of conduct.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to achieve IMI Accreditation, our technicians are required to pass a series of practical skills and knowledge modules at an approved IMI test centre.
RECOGNISED STANDARD
To ensure our technicians keep pace with vehicle technology and ever-advancing repair methods, IMI Accreditations have to be re-tested every three years.
Why it’s important to us
You need to know that your vehicle is in the best hands. IMI Accreditation helps us to ensure this. It is an industry standard that demonstrates our employees are fully qualified to carry out their work to our required level of excellence.
IMI Accreditation helps us keep on top of advancing technology, and ahead of the game.
We require every Steer technician to gain IMI Accreditation. It’s our assurance of quality and excellence.”
